1. How to delete your account
You delete the account yourself inside the app. You must be signed in. This is not a request form, and you cannot delete only part of the account from this screen.
- Open The Access and sign in.
- Tap Account in the bottom navigation.
- Under Settings, tap Login and security.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read what we remove and what venues keep.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field. Use capital letters. The word is the same in every language.
- Tap DELETE MY ACCOUNT.
We then sign you out. The account cannot be restored. You need a new account to use the app again.
2. If you cannot open the app
Email privacy@theaccess.app from the email address on the account. Say that you want your account in The Access deleted. We delete the same data listed on this page.
If you signed in with Apple and used Hide My Email, write from that relay address, or tell us the relay address so we can match the account.
3. Data we delete
When deletion finishes, we remove the information that can identify you. This happens immediately. We do not keep a copy of it.
- Your login, including email, password, and Sign in with Apple or Google.
- Your name, creator type, city, and interests.
- Your profile photo and gallery photos.
- Your Instagram username and the validation details we stored.
- In-app notifications.
- Push-notification device tokens.
- Photos and videos you uploaded in the app as proof of a collaboration, and the record of those uploads.
- Venue staff access linked to this account, if the account had any.
4. Upcoming events
Any upcoming spot you still hold is cancelled, including invitations you have not answered and events you have already confirmed. Venues are not left expecting you. Spots you already attended, missed, or cancelled stay only as the anonymized records below.
5. Data that stays
Venues keep an anonymized record of events you already took part in. That record can show whether the spot was attended, a no-show, or cancelled, and which event and venue it belongs to. Your name, email, photos, and Instagram are not attached.
We keep those anonymized records for as long as we keep the event, so a venue can run its calendar and keep an accurate attendance history. There is no extra holding period for your identity. Your identity is removed when deletion finishes.
A form you sent on the-access-app.com, such as a venue or creator enquiry, is separate from the app account. Deleting the account does not delete that enquiry. Email privacy@theaccess.app if you want the enquiry deleted as well. We keep enquiry messages until we no longer need them to respond, or until you ask us to delete them.
Routine server logs, such as an IP address and a request time, are not used to restore your account. We keep them only as long as we need them for security and troubleshooting, as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Data we cannot delete
Deleting your The Access account does not delete your Apple ID, Google account, or Instagram account.
A direct message you already sent to @theaccessapp stays in Instagram. We delete the Instagram details we stored.
If a venue already downloaded a photo or video you submitted, that copy is outside The Access and we cannot erase it.
